What is difference between save and save as options in ms word?


A.    Save :- Store your document in your hard disk, then print it share it with others.

you can store  your document by using :-

1.    click File menu 

2.    click on save option

3.    pick or browser to a folder, type any name of your document in the file name box, and click on save button. 

or you can same work by using shortcut. 

only press keyboard key:- ctrl+S

it will be same work.


B.    Save as:- is a function, similar to save option, which lets you specify the name and location of the file you are saving. This option is used for if you want to change the file name or make a duplicate of the file 

This option you can use by using these options :-

1.    click File menu 

2.    click on save as option

3.    pick or browser to a folder, type any name of your document in the file name box, and click on save button.
